Deep rose to pale pink colours (photo shows handspun wool dyed with cochineal extract).
The cochineal bugs are produced in villages in Peru and Ecuador and then the dye extracted in Europe.
The cochineal extract is weighed and packed in a polythene grip-seal bag. We then place the cochineal extract in a small padded envelope and post it to you First Class. We hope you enjoy achieving beautiful pinks and reds with a dye used for hundreds of years.
