One skein of high quality, fine 2 ply laceweight yarn made from 70% baby alpaca, 20% silk and 10% pure cashmere. It is very soft to the touch and produces great results, either in natural un-dyed soft ivory hue or dyed with your choice of natural-dyed colours.
This soft, smooth, fine yarn makes beautiful shawls and lacework garments and shows off complex patterns beautifully. A good yarn for a first lace project. Suggested needle sizes: 1.75mm – 3mm but use the needle size suggested by your project. As with all lace knitting, gauge depends on needle size and needle size depends on the type of project. We recommend that you hand wash this wool.
Angel Lace Fine yarn (a baby alpaca/silk/cashmere blend) skein weighs about 100 grams (3.5 oz) and measures about 800 metres in total (2/16 nm). Angel Lace Fine yarn is about one third thicker than our Angel Lace Extra Fine yarn.
Uses: Ideally suited to shawls and lacework.
