Freeze-dried indigo crystals are made with natural indigo from Indian indigo plants. This is not synthetic indigo Natural Indigo crystals; - Produce very dark blues easily. - Dissolve easily and quickly in water, so there is no need to make a paste first. - The vat is ready very quickly. - Indigo crystals are also great if you only want to dye a small amount of fibres as it is very easy to set up. - You still need to use soda ash and spectralite. It is also known as “pre-reduced indigo”, as it is already “60% reduced” (this refers to chemical reduction not to loss of weight), and it is not suitable for fermentation vats.
